In 12/13 in order to create the best kits to return Milan to glory, adidas and AC Milan launched a campaign to rediscover the inspiration behind Kilpin & other’s founding Milan Cricket and Football Club. It was achieved by retracing the sites where the story took place: among the liberty buildings of the historic centre of Milan, just a few steps from the Duomo, began the history of AC Milan. That night Herbert Kilpin said: "We are a team of devils. Our colours are red as fire, and black, to invoke fear in our opponents."

They succeeded in creating a legendary kit, one that honors the team’s winning traditions. The AC Milan 12/13 away jersey features a rounded neckline, traditional white with a black & red (rossoneri) horizontal band across the center chest, an homage to the shirts of the 50's. This jersey honors the Italian flag, as the red, white and green of the Italian flag are seen at the top and bottom of the shirt and also on the back collar. The world-famous AC Milan crest with one star is embroidered over the heart, with adidas on the right, and Fly Emirates sponsor logo screened below within white/black chest band. > more
